1. About the Service
Skjálausn is a digital signage service operated by Novamedia ehf., kennitala 540606-2260. The service allows users to manage content on digital screens through a web interface.
2. Registration and Account
Upon registration, the user must provide a valid email address, full name and company name. The user is responsible for keeping their login credentials secure and may not share them with others. The user is responsible for all activity under their account.
3. Trial Period
New users receive a 7-day free trial. After the trial period, a subscription must be activated to continue using the service. If a subscription is not activated, access will be limited.
4. Pricing and Payments
The Skjálausn pricing is published on the website homepage. The base fee includes a certain number of screens and storage. Extra screens are at a fixed monthly rate. All prices are listed excluding VAT unless otherwise stated. Novamedia ehf. reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
5. Content and Usage
The user bears full responsibility for all content uploaded or displayed through Skjálausn. It is prohibited to use the service to display content that violates Icelandic law, including copyright law, but not limited to illegal, defamatory or misleading content. Novamedia ehf. reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms.
6. Privacy
Novamedia ehf. handles personal information in accordance with Icelandic privacy laws. Information collected (name, email, company) is used for operating the service and will not be sold or handed to third parties unless required by law. Users may request deletion of their personal information at any time.
7. Cancellation
The user may cancel their subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Novamedia ehf. reserves the right to terminate service to users who violate the terms with 30 days' notice, or immediately in case of serious violations.
8. Limitation of Liability
Skjálausn is provided "as is". Novamedia ehf. strives to ensure maximum uptime but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Novamedia ehf. is not liable for damages resulting from use of or lack of access to the service, including indirect damages or loss of revenue.
9. Changes to Terms
Novamedia ehf. reserves the right to update these terms. Users will be notified of significant changes by email or notification in the system. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
